Amazing Grace

1 Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.

2 ’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed!

3 Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home.

4 The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures.

5 When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise Than when we’d first begun.

Well, I’m here but not sure how this site works. There seems to be no particular subject of debate.
So I will say this, for whoever needs it at the moment: ”If Christ be for us who can be against us?” NO ONE! For ”Greater is He Who is in you than he that is in the world!” God Bless all you bloggers!! From Maz in Britain!

  2. Maz says:

Boy, this sounds more complicated than I thot! I have been on another debating site for nearly two years, and it is so simple to just post a comment there. I’v read the hints but it all seems a bit confusing to my ”older” brain! Mind you, I am not past it yet, but if I put my brain cells to work I may work it out eventually! It’s 19.25 here and I’m off until tomorrow. God Bless! From Maz in beautiful Hampshire, England.

  3. maninmirror says:

1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Persevearance and some help from the Lord should solve that.

You have a mind , a will and Emotions, which proves that you were given being by your creator and that evolution is a lie.

  4. Maz says:

Hi maninmirror! I’m one of those who believe what Genesis 1 actually says….God created everything that exists, and He didn’t use evolution. Yes, it is definitely a lie! In fact I believe He is a miraculous God Who is quite capable of creating the heavens and the earth in 6 days as recorded in Genesis. But I’v heard some really weird theories from Theists about how Adam was created!

  5. Think about it says:

Hi Maz ! I am also a literal creationist, still trying to work this site out myself, great to post and not expect aggro in return,
my God, I understand our God, is capable of making the universe in 6 seconds or the snap of His fingers, 6 days is not such a short time for him, I still have not figured out “why so long” properly, only when people are used to talking in billions of years, does it seems short.

  6. Maz says:

Think: (Can I shorten your name) Glad to hear from someone of like beliefs. Yes, God could have just created in an instant, but He always has a reason for what He does. I watched a film once that proposed that the 6 days of Creation were a kind of pattern for the 6,000 years of man’s history. Can’t remember the details now, but I find God weaves patterns all through His Word. He is awesome indeed.

I think I have the hang of this site now. Look forward to more debate. I am actually debating on another site, and we have all sorts….atheists, theists, and even a Wiccan, as well as Christians. WE also get the odd one or two who end up getting banned. But we try and share the gospel with all who come on.

  7. Dave says:

“The breaker is come up before them.”-Micah 2:13

Inasmuch as Jesus has gone before us, things remain not as they would have been had He never passed that way. He has conquered every foe that obstructed the way. Cheer up now thou faint-hearted warrior. Not only has Christ travelled the road, but He has slain thine enemies. Dost thou dread sin? He has nailed it to His cross. Dost thou fear death? He has been the death of Death. Art thou afraid of hell? He has barred it against the advent of any of His children; they shall never see the gulf of perdition. Whatever foes may be before the Christian, they are all overcome. There are lions, but their teeth are broken; there are serpents, but their fangs are extracted; there are rivers, but they are bridged or fordable; there are flames, but we wear that matchless garment which renders us invulnerable to fire. The sword that has been forged against us is already blunted; the instruments of war which the enemy is preparing have already lost their point. God has taken away in the person of Christ all the power that anything can have to hurt us. Well then, the army may safely march on, and you may go joyously along your journey, for all your enemies are conquered beforehand. What shall you do but march on to take the prey? They are beaten, they are vanquished; all you have to do is to divide the spoil. You shall, it is true, often engage in combat; but your fight shall be with a vanquished foe. His head is broken; he may attempt to injure you, but his strength shall not be sufficient for his malicious design. Your victory shall be easy, and your treasure shall be beyond all count.

    “Proclaim aloud the Saviour’s fame,
    Who bears the Breaker’s wond’rous name;
Sweet name; and it becomes him well,
Who breaks down earth, sin, death, and hell.”
