Camp Site
Sometimes we have to get away from it all , over december 2008 we went camping. We visited Boschkop about 45 mins from JHB on the Vaal Dam.

The resorts at the vaaldam are available at some local Angling Shops. Ask for the booklet Makatoeri Hengel-oorde. There are maps and contact numbers in them as well as the facilities available at the different resots

I would like to know is there any facilities like swimming pools and chalets at Boschkop dam please advise me and what the tarriffs are
There are fully equipped ablution blocks and some accomodation. I have no knowledge of any swimming pool.
I suggest you phone before you go. In one of the comments there is a contact number.
There are however other resorts on the vaaldam with pools and rondavels. Namely Oranjeville Plesier Oord (pleasure resort). It is situated just before Oranjeville. Beyond that you could visit Jim Fouche which has pools, horseriding and tennis courts as well. Jim fouche is very busy in the festive season. Tago is another you could try , they even sell plots on the dam.
I suggest you visit your local Angling Shop and get a copy of “Makatoeri Hengel Oorde on the Vaal Dam”. It has mamy resorts in it , and is avilable in english as well.
hello there, has anyone been to or found the contact no’s for the Oranjeville Plesier Oord(Pleasure resort) Looking to go away for a weekend. Mainly to fish. My family is hooked onto fishing and a getaway is not one without been able to fish.
